After a slow start to the morning, we headed to Point Cook for lunch with the Tipping family. Trevor met Lyle while at uni at the start of the 90s and have stayed in touch ever since. Lyle was best man at our wedding and Christine was one of my bridesmaids soo they are pretty special to us. They are the type of friends where we carry on conversations as though we had seen each other last week, even though the time gap is more like several months or even years.
Lyle and Chris have three sons: Alex, Glen and Dean, and Max’s age fits between Glen and Dean, and Harry is just younger than Dean. We all had a great time. Harry was entranced by the Star Wars costumes and full sized light sabres and Max just liked all the screen time. The Tipping boys play lots of sport during the week but Sunday seems to be a screen day, so our boys thought this was a good day to visit!
We stayed for dinner too! It was great to catch up again and see how much their boys have grown.
