Buderim continues...

The rest of our time in Buderim was wonderful, especially getting the chance to spend some extended time with my family. Trevor and Tim serviced our car and got to do lots of chatting in between. This was great as they have known each other for the past 15 years but have never really had the chance to spend a lot of time together before now.

More highlights of Buderim and surrounds included ….

  •  visiting Maleny, where Tim and Suzanne used to live when I last visited them in 1996 and Tim still has a farm where he has planted a variety of rainforest and polonia trees. Max, Harry and I took a turn at driving the backhoe which was a lot of fun. Much cairn building was done too!

  • getting to share Lotte’s first meat pie in Maleny. The bakery we were at was fantastic! We  ate there near closing time and they asked us if we’d like to have some of their unsold hot items. We went happily away 8 sausage rolls and 2 pies later!

  • visiting the ‘Buderim Ginger Factory’ which was fabulous! Great shops, friendly people and interesting things to look at.

The days just disappeared and suddenly a week had gone by. It was hard to leave, as the whole family made us so welcome. Somehow they managed to find lots of time for us in between the very hectic schedules of three teenagers and two busy adults. Thank you for a great visit!!

Great write up of so much activity Liz. I'm sure everyone must be sleeping very soundly every night! I enjoyed all the photos. Well done! Will print some of them out for Grandma Breeze.
