On the road again...

We stayed just out of Norseman at a free campsite. It staggers me how people seem to think leaving their rubbish about is ok. There are plenty of bins but unfortunately not everyone uses them. We then drove from Norseman to Balladonia and onto another free campsite just west of Caiguna. At Balladonia Roadhouse was a simple museum, and one display had an old fashioned kitchen on show. This pic shows Trevor letting Max know some facts.

Trevor and Max have taken to this gypsy like lifestyle like ducks to water. Hary and I are taking a little longer. I am finding the last couple of nights a bit of a challenge with no running water and no power or showers. It is all ok really, I am just looking forward to getting somewhere with a few more facilities. Trevor loves this travel and sees so much in the landscape. This part of the journey is just frustrating for me. We're at Eucla Caravan Park tonight WITH POWER so I am making the most of it!

We've met some lovely people so far - everyone stops to say hello, and you'd know that between Trevor and I, we can talk for ages to anyone!

Today we passed through Cocklebiddy and drove south to the Eyre bird observatory.
This photo's especially for Kestrel (Richard). I thought of you when I saw the sign as I thought you'd just love to be here!
We didn't get to go right into the observatory as you need to ring ahead and book (and there is no mobile service....) plus we would have had to unhitch our bikes and caravan. Instead we drove into a lookout that was around 35km from the highway. We could see all the way out to the Southern Ocean! The wildflowers and shrubs were different to what I see in south west WA. They were very beautiful as you can see.

Here's two random pics showing "our rig" and the type of roads we are driving on.
