We didn’t get any closer to it than the photo above shows but we found out later that the Sea Shepard was offering free on ship tours. We would have loved to have done this as it would have been fascinating.
We saw some great street performers who were doing incredible break dancing and then performing leaps over 5 people – all with a charismatic “ring master” (for want of a better word). We were all amazed by what these guys could do!
On Sunday we took advantage of the $2.50 Family Fun Day, where we each bought an all day public transport ticket in the morning and it allowed us onto every bus, train or ferry that day. How good is that??
Once we got to Circular Quay by train, we took a ferry to Luna Park. The good thing about Luna Park is that you are allowed to go in to take a look around even if you don’t pay to go on the rides. To go on the rides, you line up at the front for a wrist band each, but at over $100 for all of us we didn’t think it was a good buy. We got enough from just taking a look around.

Max and Harry decided to spend some of their own money on the trampoline/harness thingo. They both did really well and almost made it over for a backflip. Max made his foot get caught in the side strap and pulled himself over a couple of times. Harry almost made it all the way back but got cold feet just as he had to put his head back. They also bought themselves a bag of fairy floss – as the smiles on their faces suggest, they thought this was wonderful!
We made our way back by ferry to Circular Quay and ate our picnic lunch. We then took a huge ferry out to Manly which was fantastic – a great way to see lots of Sydney Harbour. I was really pleased with some of the photos and Max even suggested we make a photo website like Aunty Sally’s with them! I couldn’t choose which of these photos to take out so here they all are!!
We all had a great two days! Thanks Sydney!! We look forward to going back one day for a much longer visit.
